Teeth Whitening FAQs

How often should I get my teeth whitened?

We recommend a top-up 4-6 weeks after your first treatment and then every 3-6 months to maintain your smile.

How can I maintain my results?

Weekly use of our 2-in-1 foam toothpaste and intensive whitening powder. Top up before special events with our pens or home whitening kit. Regular 3-monthly top-ups, brushing twice a day, flossing, and drinking plenty of water. Avoid foods like coffee, black tea, red wine, and smoking to prevent staining.

Who is not suitable for teeth whitening treatments?

Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid whitening. We recommend treatment for those over 16, and anyone under 18 requires parental consent. People with cold sores, ulcers, allergies to peroxide, or receding gums should consult their dentist before whitening. If you've recently had lip fillers, wait a few weeks before treatment.

Does the treatment cause sensitivity?

Sensitivity is rare but possible. Some clients may experience brief discomfort or sharp pains. In this case, we recommend using desensitisation gel, and sensitivity typically subsides within 24-48 hours.

Can I eat or smoke after a teeth whitening treatment?

We advise you to eat beforehand and brush your teeth before your appointment. Avoid consuming anything other than water for 3 hours after the treatment.

Can I get my teeth whitened before or after getting a gem?

We suggest whitening before the gem application to reduce discoloration if the gem falls off or is removed. You can still whiten your teeth after the gem application. Select teeth whitening and gem bundles when booking.

Tooth Gems & Gold Tooth FAQs

What is a tooth gem or charm?

A tooth gem is a cosmetic procedure where a jewel is attached to your tooth’s enamel.

How long does the tooth gem procedure take?

The application of a single gem takes about 10 minutes. Larger designs may take between 30 minutes and 1 hour to complete.

How are tooth gems applied?

We use professional dental adhesives, the same kind used in orthodontics, to securely attach the gem to your tooth.

How long do tooth gems last?

Tooth gems typically last between six months and one year, though with proper care, they can last for several years. We offer a one-month warranty, and if your gem falls off during that time, we'll reapply it for free.

What happens if my jewel falls off and I swallow it?

Tooth gems are tiny, smooth glass crystals or solid gold, which are safe to pass through your body naturally.

Can I bring my own gem for the procedure?

No, we only apply gems provided by us. This ensures we can guarantee their quality and safety.

Can you remove my tooth gem or adhesive?

Our technicians are not authorized to remove gems or adhesives. Please book an appointment with your dentist for removal. The cost for gem removal typically starts at $50 AUD.

Can I smoke with my gold tooth?

It’s not advised to smoke with grillz made from Sterling Silver, 10ct, or 14ct gold. For 18ct or higher, you can smoke or vape, but regular cleaning and polishing is necessary.

Can I eat and drink with my grillz or caps?

It’s best to avoid eating, drinking, smoking, or vaping with grillz in, as this can damage them and lead to tarnishing and oxidisation.

Can I get grillz with a retainer?

Yes, you can.
